Chain Maintenance

Chain Maintenance is an important part of owning a motorcycle (unless your bike is shaft driven). It is important that you keep the chain well lubricated and clean of excessive dirt and grime build-up. This will prolong the life of the chain and sprockets on your bike and reduce chain noise. Not sure how or where to lube your chain? We've created the following lubrication diagram to help you.
Remember

• If you're riding off road you should be cleaning and lubricating your chain after every ride and every wash.
• If you're riding road you should lubricate every 500KM, after riding in wet conditions and you should clean your chain every 1000KM
• Your chain should be lubricated after riding when the chain is hot, this allows the lubricant to penetrate the chain where it is needed
